    Introduction of smartphones in the market few years ago has changed the way people used their phones. Today, phones are used for quite a large number of things other than taking or receiving calls or sending and receiving text messages. Most of the smartphones are loaded with host of features which allows the users to do more than just using the calling features.

    Camera is one such feature which attracts the attention of all the smartphone users. Few of the smartphones even have resolution as high as 41 MP, dual LED flash, image stabilization, real time High Definition recording, auto focus, background defocus and low light photo technology. The features of camera which is found in Android phones these days can’t even be imagined in high end stand-alone camera. Adding to this, the buyers get these smartphones at a much lower price.

    Disable Camera Sound on Android Phones

    Most of the cameras found in smartphones are equipped with shutter notification. Shutter notification sounds work in the same manner as the notification sounds of missed calls, SMS or email. Camera shutter sounds help the users to know that the picture has been captured. The shutter notification sounds do help the users in knowing the exact time when the picture is clicked; sometimes, the users themselves want to take pictures without getting noticed. When the camera is in video mode, some of the smartphones are designed to not make any sound; however, when the user is taking still pictures, cameras do send notification sounds. Few Samsung and HTC devices disable the notification sounds itself, provided the phone is in silent mode. However, this option is not available in most of the smartphones.

    The notification sounds can be disabled if the Android phones are rooted. These rooting can be done using a mod, an app or my manually modifying the files. However, accessing root of a smartphone is not an easy job and most of the time required to be done by professionals. To help all those who want to disable camera sound in Android phones, there are few apps available like Camera Mute which mutes the sounds of Samsung Galaxy phones, Camera Sound Off, Silent Camera works wonder to mute the camera shutter sound. However, these apps are supported in some of the devices only, especially on devices manufactured by Samsung, Sony, Motorola, Nexus. These apps are available in the Google Play Store and can be installed by downloading the Apk file. Few Sony and HTC devices allow the users to disable the shutter sound from camera itself without any need of third party apps.
